Our goal is to protect and maintain the Health and Safety of all of our stakeholders (employees, customers, suppliers, contractors and the public).

We aim to protect the environment from any significant impacts of our present and planned operations.

Our company is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy workplace. We believe that health and safety is good business practice and continually strive to reduce work-related injuries, illnesses, property losses and adverse environmental impacts.

Health and Safety are recognized by the company from the humanitarian, economic, legal and liability point of view.  TAG Solvent Products (Pty) Ltd believe that a good safety record is solid evidence of responsiveness to employee needs, that in turn, generates higher morale and stronger employee loyalty, leading to greater productivity and hence profitability thus maintaining our image as leaders in the chemical industry.

 

TAG Solvent Products have a legal responsibility to safeguard its employees and the general public, as far as reasonably practical, from injury, nuisance or risk to the health from all processes associated with its business activities.

  

TAG Solvent Products safety objectives are:

 

  • To ensure compliance with all relevant statutory safety requirements. 

  • To achieve the highest practical level of safety throughout the company at all stages of manufacture, storage and delivery. 

  • Provide every employee with the right to a safe and healthy working environment. 

  • To involve persons from all levels and disciplines in the management, implementation and control of our safety and risk assessment programs.

TAG SOLVENT AND SOLAR POWER

TAG Solvent Products has made a large investment into solar power for its head office and branches. The reasons are multifaceted :

​

  1. Reliable power supply. Due to the constraints faced by our aging and poorly maintained power supply and the frequent and lengthy power cuts due to load shedding and cable theft, power supply is a real threat to business success.  Solar power ensures virtual maintenance free uninterrupted power supply.

  2. It is a way for our company to greatly reduce our carbon footprint.  With peak combined power production at approximately 1MWh we are reducing our carbon footprint by up to 1 ton per day.

  3. Solar is an upfront investment in reducing our long term operating expenses.
